Pipe Bomb Intense

SCENT NOTES: saltwater, metal, smoke, amber, oud

The scent of lightning as its spears pummel the earth, the scent of metal electrified and heating up, the scent of water as it sparks and starts to bubble with energy, and the accord created as these forces vie for supremacy in the never-ending clash of the elements.

I am in love with this fragrance; it starts intense out of the bottle but after it hits my skin, mellows out into a complex and beautiful scent, that lingers on my scarf for days, always drawing me back in.

--for a situationship. I loved the original pipe bomb on him, but he was running low + we'd discussed in passing the anosmia concern people have when they re-up. I ordered this for him based on Blackbird's FAQ about the difference. He likes it; I find it slightly too sharp (I had a bottle of not a perfume that either went off or started reacting differently with my skim chemistry; regardless, same note-- almost a sour opening?). It was intended as a opener to a DTR conversation; I lost my nerve, and now when we see each other he wears something less exciting (Hermes, I think). When we stop seeing each other I'm going to start wearing Pipe Bomb-- it's that good. I think this skews more masculine than the original, which felt eminently wearable. From him: "I like it! It develops well."
