A fantasy undersea garden where animals look like flowers and flowers smell like fruit.
SCENT NOTES: plum, pink lotus, champagne, honey, tobacco, amber, styrax, labdanum
IMAGINE: Soft pink undersea flowers anchored to ancient boulders. Anemone marries brightness with depth and playfulness with sophistication. Anemone opens with the sweetest juice of overripe plums and grapes bleeding over the divine nectar of sacred pink lotus flowers. Quickly precipitation falls on this scent forcing fruits to ferment into champagne and salty oceanic ambergris cures the lotus into a bright pink floral, all while symbiotic brisk tobacco and honey sting the senses to keep us alert. As the winds pick up and petals drift away resins of styrax and labdanum hold the fruits in place for the remainder of the storm.
anemone really is 'that girl'. she smells sweet with an edge. crisp air and salty ocean water. hair blowing in the wind. a ship out at sea. it's a calm ocean-warm. the sun embraces you through a clear sky. i say "she's that girl" but scents do not have a gender (and is more of an expression),and as someone who also embraces fluidity i layer my scents according to how I'm feeling that day- sometimes I want more sweetness sometimes more earthy woods and leather. Anemone hits it right in the center for me. As soon as I opened the box my nose caught a light whiff and i felt sparks in my brain. I first came across Anemone while working in a little industrial influenced boutique carrying American made goods in Oakland- Oakland Supply Company. We would burn Blackbird's incense and I would at times go around and spritz the testers. I'm so glad to be reconnecting with Anemone after 4/5 -ish years. I have so many scents but nothing quite like Anemone.
i thought i would never wear perfume again. i have an OLI oil blend that i love, and just assumed that would be my scent for the rest of my life. anemone is the fragrance that has changed my mind. nuff said.
I ran out of perfume just before COVID. I was thrilled when a colleague who is as much as a scent person as I am, suggested Blackbird, noting their sample mix. I've had so much fun trying all of their fragrances, but must say a mere hint of Anemone makes my brain fire with delight. Much needed stimulation after a soul crushing Chicago winter (which isn't really over yet in APRIL!). I'm debating what my second purchase will be as I build out my scent bench.
I Love this fragrance! It smells warm and earthy and rich.
Hands down one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It evolves over time on the skin which is something I love about this perfume. I can absolutely promise that you’ll like this one.
