Triton, named after the moon of Neptune that was in turn named after the son of Poseidon, is a cold fragrance. Its scent carries the nose to the icy surface of its namesake moon, but it is not unrelenting. It’s like being able to experience the harsh terrain from the relative comfort of a warm enclosure. It’s about finding and relishing the beauty of a frozen landscape.
Upon first application, it's like smelling a magnificent, incomprehensible ice world. Unisex floral notes blend seamlessly with bright aldehydes and minerals to create a remarkably crisp, cool scent contrasted by a hint of sweetness. Below the surface, dry amber, cold incense, and brisk woods tether the top notes from escaping and give structure to the unique, icy accord.
I tried a sample of Triton and was instantly haunted. In a good way. I just needed to smell it again. I couldn’t tell you why. It’s almost on this edge for me, where I could be too much, but as it develops it pulls back from this edge. I just love that. I do not understand it, but you can’t really argue about smells. You like it or not to some degree. However, I could easily see other people finding it way too much of a very weird thing. I’m a huge fan of Moro Oud and Targa fan. If you like those perfumes you might want to try Triton. Good luck!
i love the way this smells. i was expecting a clean aquatic scent because of the name, but wasn't expecting something so fun.
love the ozonic, aquatic notes, which are unisex and wearable even at work.
Absolutely gorgeous spring & summer fragrance for our lakehouse. We are water people, surf, swim, paddle board, kayak... if you love open water sports & the thought of chilled pineapple with a splash of rum, then you'll undoubtedly love this fragrance. For body AND in candle burner. Totally transforms the ambience of our home. Please dont discontinue EVER!
Scent invokes a strong memory for me. I love all my blackbird fragrances and this is no different. Its strong initial layer hits me with the aftertaste of absinthe next to an old fire pit- long extinguished. It fades down to a kind of ozone and pepper that is distinct and lovely.
