The smell of too much whisky and cigarettes on a musty wool shirt. The smell of a burning building and the damp ashes left behind. The smell of a leather chair whose springs have lost their bounce. The smell of rotting bark from a tree that fell decades before its time. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and life is too short for perfection.
Gods, the lovely layers of dirt, tobacco and musk in this are intense. I've never burned anything quite like it, perhaps the separate components at times but having them assembled is an entirely different experience. Pure enjoyment for me but not everyone in the house shared that sentiment. Unfortunately, I won't be able to use this often.
I thoroughly enjoyed this scent! I tend to lean towards more earthy less floral scents and Malus fits perfectly with what I love! It's musky without being overwhelming. Every element plays well together to make a beautiful scent. My only mistake was getting the sample. The tin is sold out and I'm anxiously awaiting a restock.
These scents are exotic and long lasting. They percolate through the home and fill the senses with a peaceful and delicate fragrance. I burn one pyramid on days I just need to dwell and it install transforms the place and creates a serene environment.
