Gathered by robotic sand harvesters on the red planet, The Sands of Mars is a pure and natural incense-burning substrate used in any bowl or plate-style incense burner as a thermal regulator and barrier layer to keep resins and ash from building up.
TO USE: Pour the desired amount of incense sand onto your incense holder. Place the incense cone on the sand. Light the cone and blow out the flame after 15 seconds. Let the cone burn until the end. After two to three incense cones, scoop the dirty ash, resin, and sand into a cup of water and dispose of it in the garden, where it belongs. Add more sand when you feel it is time.
This stuff is amazing at keeping my cone dish from getting blackened.
It works even better than what they say. I've been pushing the number of cones a small pile can handle, I'm up to 16 and it's still cleaning off with just a wipe.
